The day June 29,1865 in Galveston,Teaxas is known as juneteenth which is also known as Freedom day or Emancipation Day. It is celebrated for the slaves that became free.Juneteenth is a holiday in 31 states of america. Juneteenth was the official holiday in texas state and still is today.The real purpose for this holiday is to honor the african american heritage.This holiday is know celebrated by people of all ethnic and racial backgrounds.
Today is a better than the past. We should be thankful that the slaves were let free. Tomorrow is not promised of free slavery so we should pray about the future and hope it comes to life when it happends.
